If you’re new The Movement Center, we’re glad to have you here! To help you familiarize yourself with our services, we’ve compiled a list of answers to the most commonly asked questions. If you don’t see your answer here, contact the studio at 734.761.2306 or use the contact form.
How do I get started?
We recommend starting with a private introductory session. Your trainer will take you through a basic workout while assessing your needs and discussing your goals, health, and time and budget parameters.
What should I wear?
We recommend clothing that’s loose enough for you to move freely but not so baggy that we can’t see your body position.
Do I need to bring anything else?
No. We have everything else you’ll need. Just bring yourself and we’ll get started!
Where can I park?
There are several options. Some street parking is available, and the closest lot option (for the Ann Arbor location) is at Ashley and West Washington (map). There’s also a structure on Washington between Main street and Fourth Avenue.
Parking is free at the West Studio.
Do I have to pre-register for an entire group of classes, or can I come when my schedule allows?
Though we offer discounted package pricing, you’re not required to buy an entire package. You can register for classes one at a time, as they fit with your schedule.
I see a group class I’d like to take. Can I just show up, or do I need to register?
We keep our classes small, to facilitate individual attention, so space is limited. We require all participants to either register online or by phone: 734.239.4172.
My budget is limited but I’m interested in private sessions. What are my options?
In addition to regular classes, we offer private sessions with apprentice trainers starting at $10. Please contact us for more information, and apprentice trainer availability.
